Hug Camp with Uncle Phil

The kids were excited to see Uncle Phil, but Benjamin, expressed reluctance for Uncle Phil's "hug camp".  After the requisite hugs and lots of Mario Cart, we set out for the Hayward Japanese Gardens and the Sulfur Creek Nature Center.

We arrived right around 4, which is also when they were advertised to close.  Fortunately, plenty of people were still wandering around ,and we got to see most of gardens before someone asked visitors to leave around 4:20.

We enjoyed watching fish and turtles in the pond in the middle of the garden.

Our next stop was the Sulfur Creek Nature Center which we thought closed at 5.  The actual building was closed when we got there  at 4:30, but we could still see the animals outside and use the bathrooms.
The birds and small mammals outside the Sulfur Creek Nature Center were entertaining..
Monday morning, Grandma left for the airport, but that evening, Uncle Phil gave us a tour of Google and we ate dinner there with him.

We saw lots of cool stuff at Google.
